What a Fabulous Sister!

As Catherine mentioned, she was down visiting us for a week recently. She was kind enough to help me unpack boxes at night, remove tape from our five foot tall pile of boxes so we could recycle them, collect all the packing paper and stash it in my car, along with more boxes, AND play with my kiddos while I ran errands! And to top it all off, she was the parent-in-absentia while I went to the Diocesan Stewardship Conference and Darling was in Bangkok, or Dubai, or somewhere like that. She is wonderful.

We did no sewing. I did loan her a very cute book about knit animals.

School starts in ten days. I cannot wait. Of course, my sewing time will be severely curtailed because I have agreed to engage in gainful employment. Fortunately, it's only part time, but I suspect my stitching time will still suffer.

The job is at Rice University. I have entered into the Land of Administration. I am the...BRC Community Development Specialist/Science Communication Liaison. BRC stands for BioScience Research Consortium. I think my job is to make the scientists play nicely with each other, and to tell everyone about how nice they are.

So no hours for me. I hear salsa is on the way. I've found some delicious chips to eat it with, but will have to acquire more chips when the salsa gets here because Darling and Middle also discovered the chips and they are disappearing fast!
